يعلن سيماتك – مركز الفيلم البديل عن إطلاق برنامج عمل تطوعي طويل الأمد لحفظ الأفلام الخام. يمنح هذا البرنامج فرصة قيمة للمساهمة في أرشفة مجموعات فيلمية متنوعة تتضمن أفلاما منزلية ومواد مصورة نادرة، وأفلاما صامتة ووثائقية تعود إلى الفترة ما بين عشرينيات وخمسينيات القرن الماضي.
يوفر هذا البرنامج تدريبًا عمليًا وخبرة مباشرة في أرشفة الأفلام الخام من خلال عمليات الفحص والإصلاح والحفظ. سيتعاون المتطوعون والمتطوعات مع فريق سيماتك، في إطار يسمح لهم/ن بالتعامل مع هذه المواد الأرشيفية القيمة بشكل مهني ونقدي وإبداعي.
تصميم البرنامج:
• ورشة تدريبية مكثفة لأرشفة الأفلام الخام: يبدأ البرنامج بورشة عمل مكثفة إلزامية مدتها 3 أيام مصممة لتزويد المشاركين والمشاركات بالمعرفة والمهارات الأساسية. تغطي الورشة الجوانب التالية:
• مقدمة موجزة عن تاريخ الفيلم الخام.
• فهم خصائص الفيلم الخام بما في ذلك المواد الكيميائية المختلفة التي تدخل في تكوين قاعدة شريط الصورة، أنواع شريط الصوت، أنواع الأفلام، وأنماط التلف المحتملة.
• تقنيات الفحص والتقييم.
• أساليب التنظيف والإصلاح الأساسية.
• ممارسات التوثيق وإدخال البيانات والفهرسة.
• أساليب تخزين شريط الفيلم وتغليفه .
تعقد هذه الورشة التدريبية أيام 13, 14, و 15 يوليو، باللغة العربية بشكل أساسي وبدون رسوم
• برنامج عمل تطوعي لأرشفة الأفلام الخام: فور انتهاء الورشة التدريبية سينضم المتطوعون والمتطوعات إلى فريق عمل سيماتك للمشاركة في عملية أرشفة المواد الفيلمية من خلال الفحص والتنظيف والإصلاح والفهرسة والتخزين والحفظ.
الالتزام:
• المدة: يتطلب برنامج العمل التطوعي التزامًا لمدة ثلاثة أشهر على الأقل، تبدأ فور انتهاء الورشة التدريبية.
• الجدول الزمني: تنظم المشاركة وفقا لجدول زمني مرن، يحدد عدد الساعات المتوقعة والأوقات المخصصة للعمل التطوعي، بما يوازن بين متطلبات العمل في البرنامج وبين ظروف المتطوعين والمتطوعات، لضمان المساهمة الفعالة. ستعطى الأفضلية للمتقدمين والمتقدمات الذين يمكنهم/ن الالتزام بفترة البرنامج بالكامل ومدتها ثلاثة أشهر.

Open Call: Hands-on Analogue Film Preservation Volunteering Program
Cimatheque – Alternative Film Centre is launching a long-term analogue film preservation volunteering program, a unique opportunity to contribute to the archiving process of various film collections that include home videos, found footage, silent films and documentaries dating from the 1920s–1950s.
This program provides hands-on training and direct experience in the archival process of inspecting, handling, and preserving historical film collections. Volunteers will collaborate closely with the Cimatheque team, engaging professionally, critically, and creatively with these invaluable archival materials .
Program Structure & Impact:
• Intensive Analogue Film Archival Workshop: The program begins with a mandatory 3-day intensive workshop designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills. This comprehensive training covers:
• Brief history of analogue film.
• Understanding analogue; different chemical bases, indicating sound on a film, film types, possible deterioration issues, etc.
• Detailed inspection and assessment techniques.
• Cleaning and basic repair methods.
• Documentation, data entry, and cataloging practices.
• Proper storage and enclosure for film materials
This workshop is free of charge and will be held on the 13th, 14th and 15th of July. The workshop will be held mainly in Arabic.
• Analogue Film Preservation Volunteering Program: Immediately following the workshop, volunteers will join the Cimatheque team to apply their skills in the ongoing inspection, cataloging, and preservation of several invaluable film collections.
Commitment:
• Duration: The volunteering program requires a commitment for at least three months, commencing directly after the workshop.
• Schedule: Participation will be based on a flexible schedule, with expected hours clearly communicated to ensure effective contribution. Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full three-month duration.
